Certifications

Twenty years in this industry has taught me that information matters as much as the pearl itself. Across Bora Bora’s roughly seventeen pearl outlets, the guidance clients receive — and the value they’re quoted — varies more than it should. Certification exists to close that gap.

Rydge Studio works in collaboration with a Polynesian pearl expertise and commercialization body founded in 1997, and every member of staff holds GIA certification — covering not only pearls, but fine jewelry, diamonds, precious stones, and semi-precious stones.

Every pearl in the showroom is X-rayed, checked for correct nacre thickness, a centered nucleus, and the absence of hidden gas pockets — the same rigor applied at the top end of the trade in Bora Bora and Tahiti.

It’s this combination — rare art alongside rare pearls, each backed by genuine authenticity — that defines Rydge Studio: a collaboration built over two decades with names like the St. Regis, the Conrad, Tahia Pearls, and the Paul Gauguin, always with the client’s confidence put first.

“Always with the client’s confidence put first.”
